3D Modelling and Design using Tinkercad

This experience consists of two synchronous lessons taught by Quantum Victoria. Students can utilise the portal module to review and extend the skills learnt during the synchronous lessons.
3D Modelling and Design using Tinkercad is available through the following program types. Select a program type to view more information.
Online Portal
This online portal module provides students with an opportunity to review the skills they developed during the experience and explore ways of designing 3D models with greater efficiency.
Video demonstrations and step by step instructions are provided to support and extend students.
Using their acquired knowledge and skills, students will revisit Tinkercad and associated information such as:
Tips/Shortcuts
Print Considerations
Following a Design Brief
Synchronous (with Quantum Victoria)
The two Synchronous sessions (delivered sequentially) provide students with a basic understanding of Tinkercad allowing the students to apply the newly acquired knowledge and skills to a range of challenges designed to extend their learning.
Level 1: This 60 minute lesson will teach students the basic skills of Tinkercad. They will learn 5 tools and complete challenges for each tool to develop their skills.
Level 2: This 60 minute lesson will build on the skills developed in Level 1, and challenge students to solve more complex problems as the students think about how the tools affect the shapes.
The challenges are designed to address the problems students face when designing in a digital 3D space.
An online module complementing the synchronous program is available for your students to complete.
We acknowledge that Secondary Schools operate within a timetable and can offer a range of times to accommodate this.
