Sum It Up - Maths Games

Sum It Up! is a hands-on mathematics event where students will bring forth their logic and outside-the-box thinking. This event contains three sessions across the day and accommodates up to 60 Year 5/6 students.

Students will apply their knowledge of chance, measurement, geometry and numerical computation to work their way through a series of mathematical puzzles and games. These will challenge their reasoning, problem solving and logical thinking.

Cryptic Crop Circles

Find the codes to three tabletop escape room puzzles by using measurements and angles. The scenario uses these concepts to discover messages being sent by aliens and allow us to work out which direction to send return messages.

Dicey Decisions

Use probability in head-to-head games that ask students to capitalise and apply their understanding of chance to compete with their peers. This session lets students explore probability in engaging ways that teachers can take back to their classrooms.

Logic Lab

Exercise your logic and reasoning with a range of mathematical riddles, conundrums and 3D puzzles. Regardless of the level of puzzles chosen, all brains will get a good workout!
