Students will use CAD software to design objects and then realise their designs by printing them out on a 3D printer.
Students will experience the design process by designing an object using industry grade Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and manufacture their object using a 3D printer.
3D printers are fast becoming a widely used manufacturing device which has revolutionised the manufacturing industry. The 3D printers used in this program build objects layer by layer using biodegradable plastics.
Skill development include: Observation, resilience through productive failure, mathematics, problem solving and trouble shooting, design thinking, engineering, communication and digital fluency.
