Students utilise problem-solving and team-working skills as they explore programming and engineering through design and construction when performing specific tasks using motors and sensors with Lego Robots, to complete a set of challenges on a Lego map.

The Giant STEM Investigation

7/8

Students gain an understanding of the importance of invertebrates and other factors in an Australian ecosystem through the analysis of food webs.

3D Modelling and Printing

7-10

Students design, create and manufacture an object using FUSION 360 software and a 3D printer. Skill development include: Observation, resilience through productive failure, mathematics, problem solving and troubleshooting, design thinking, engineering, communication and digital fluency.

Quantum Cyber Investigation

Students will explore the key concepts of cyber security and apply that understanding to several cyber-crime investigations.

Programming with Arduinos 1

7-10

In this program, students will work towards creating a dexterity game with the use of LEDs, LDRs, potentiometers and an Arduino Uno microcontroller.

Materials of the Future

9/10

In this program students will explore the properties of nanoparticles, hydrophobic interactions, and the Shape Memory Alloy Nitinol. Students will learn skills in scientific methodology throughout experiments or demonstrations and engage in an investigation with Nitinol drawing conclusions about its use in real scenarios and the validity of the scientific results.

Quantum Forensic Investigation (QFI)

9/10

This hands-on inquiry-based scenario will enable students to develop problem solving and teamwork skills. A series of investigations will be undertaken that include a computer simulation, blood (synthetic) typing and testing, an analysis of soil samples, fingerprints & other pieces of evidence found at both crime scenes.

Cyber Security

Students are introduced to key concepts and skills associated with Cyber Security as they follow the Cyber Adventures of Aliya and Dimitri!

This blended program explores how viruses infect people, how they spread between different populations, and what this means for a globally connected world.

Programming with Arduinos

Students learn about and create circuits through a series of challenges in a virtual electronics lab environment
(Tinkercad Circuits). Students are then introduced to microcontrollers and use a virtual Arduino microcontroller to logically control their virtual electronic circuits.
